Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes is a volunteer-led organisation delivering urgent blood samples, milk for premature babies, medical supplies and patient records across Ireland. Their critical work takes pressure off hospitals and puts patients first. For a team powered entirely by goodwill and dedication, a stronger brand presence was vital to inspire action with supporters and make their mission clearer than ever.

The team needed a brand uplift and a refreshed website to raise awareness of their work and encourage donations and volunteer sign-ups, while also giving the public a clear picture of how they operate within communities. Their tone of voice was crafted with care to create a confident and approachable narrative, free of the guilt-led language that sometimes diminishes the trust charities work hard to build.

We approached the project with a non-profit website rebuild lens, starting from the ground up to re-introduce a refreshed visual identity and create a more intuitive experience. As a result, the design now feels sleeker and more immersive, supported by subtle nods to the charity’s Celtic roots. And by steering away from tragedy framing and focusing on the impact of the charity itself, we complemented these efforts with copywriting built not just to convert, but to emphasise their authority and credibility without losing any trademark warmth. This mix of visuals and voice came together in a modern charity website design that properly contextualises Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes, making it far easier for visitors to step in and support with the new, streamlined user experience.

The rebuild visually repositioned Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes from a non-profit market challenger to a legacy brand. Visitors now arrive to a site that feels both credible and welcoming, with direct paths into donating or volunteering. For the volunteers running the organisation, the new design system behind the site means they can add new content whenever they need. What was once a static digital shop window is now a long-term asset, one that will grow with them and drive the support that keeps their life-saving service on the road, now and for the future.
